We’ve given ourselves altitude sickness flying at 5,000 metres in the Himalayas, and we’ve raced through tunnels more than a kilometre beneath the earth’s surface. We understand the pressures of large location shoots, and are known for excellent working relationships with Directors and DPs. For smaller projects we can also provide scriptwriting, production, and editing services to deliver a complete package. Europe, Africa, Asia and beyond, we have full worldwide commercial insurance. Drone Design

Over the years we’ve developed a range of robust yet technically advanced drones that have proved hugely popular within the professional FPV community. There’s a simple reason for this. We’re not just pilots, we’re engineers too. If we can’t find a drone to do what we want to do, to the standards we demand, we’ll design and build one that can.

The KD Drones Range grew out of this drive to eliminate the compromises many drone pilots contend with. Each drone is designed to provide optimum results within a specific aspect of drone filming. Milford Killian-Dawson
Founder & CEO

Milford Killian-Dawson has been flying and building drones for more than a decade. A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, he is a CAA qualified pilot who has shot drone footage for some of the world’s best known brands, and undertaken projects from his London base as far afield as Asia and Africa.

Joe Rickman
Drone Pilot & Engineer

Joe Rickman has been flying drones for six years. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton, and also worked for Bosch as an engineer. He pilots FPV and aerial filming drones, and also works in tandem with Milford on shoots that require dual operators or multiple drones at once.

Patrick Kirwan
Editor and VFX Artist

For clients who require more than raw footage, we are able to draw upon Patrick Kirwan’s expert skills. He is a highly adept editor, having worked for clients including Vogue, Nike and Heinz. He is skilled at creating seamless FPV videos with complex VFX transitions, 3D effects and graphics.

Mike McCutchen
Manufacturing

The vast majority of our design, testing and manufacturing is done here in the UK. Mike McCutchen has a deep understanding of machining, which he draws upon to deliver the greatest possible strength and optimisation for our designs. He is responsible for manufacturing parts for our KD Range of drones to the rigorous standards and tolerances we demand.

Tiphaine Cayol
Office Manager

Thanks to Tiphaine Cayol, we have developed a smooth and efficient despatch process, with orders sent out to customers all over the world as they come in. Everything is packed to make sure it arrives in perfect condition, complete with all the necessary paperwork. Tiphaine also looks after our bookkeeping, meaning any queries can be resolved quickly and efficiently.
